Yesterday I told you about the laughs we had when attendees at the Mardi Gras-themed photo shoot we ran last weekend in New Orleans turned the studio lights on themselves and had some fun in between sessions posing in a Mardi Gras pimp hat, feather boa, and mask.

I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. Some of these attendees really came out of character. Pictures, below.

There’s nothing quite like the hands-on experience, networking, and insider knowledge that you get at our workshops… and you won’t believe how much fun they are until you experience one first-hand.

Stay tuned tomorrow for some advice I gleaned from The New York Times on selling food-related travel articles. And also a report from USA Today on creating a six-figure income through stock photography.

Have a good weekend,

— Lori

I also posted a few video testimonials from our New Orleans attendees at the bottom of this page.

Remember, your job as a freelance photographer is likely going to get easier this year so now’s the time to invest in learning how to capitalize on it. Companies across the U.S. are going through massive layoffs right now. In 2009, they’ll outsource more of their photo needs to freelancers — and that’s low hanging fruit for all of us.
