Lightroom 3 is out!

One of the cool new things Lightroom 3 can do that the earlier versions of Lightroom can’t, is fix perspective distortion (that is, straighten things that look like they’re falling over backwards because you had to tilt your camera to get the shot).

Here’s a video on how to do this — it’s really easy!

And, of course, you can still do everything in Lightroom 3 that you can do in all the earlier versions of Lightroom. I played around with it a little this weekend and in less than 3 minutes turned a photo that came out of the camera looking like this…

If you don’t have Lightroom, you can get a free 30-day trial on the Adobe site.

Stay tuned for details about a new series of photo editing videos professional stock photographer Jani Bryson is creating for us. It’s hard to know sometimes how far is far enough when it comes to processing for stock. That’s why I’ve asked Jani to help.

More details coming soon.

In the meantime, here’s some news I picked up off our Breakfast StockClub Facebook page…

  • Congrats to Catherine Metzinger for having her photo chosen as a favorite by Budget Travel. Can’t wait to see it on their website!
  • Congrats to Caroline Maryan for getting her photo published on the cover of a local magazine where she lives in Seoul, South Korea!
  • Clubbers seem to like Dreamstime’s “Stock Rank” game. It’s hard at first but it gets easier. And it’s great for giving you ideas on what you might shoot next.

Have a great weekend!
