I used to hate uploading stock photos because it took forever. I would put it off for weeks… even months. I ended up having to bribe myself with ice cream to sit down and do it.
But I found a little trick that plenty of pros use to speed up the process, and now I don’t mind. In fact, it’s a little thrilling to upload photos now, because it goes so fast.
Here’s what to do: Keyword your photos in Lightroom.
It’s pretty simple. You click on a photo in the Library module, go over to the Keywords section, and add in the keywords that you want. If you have multiple photos of the same subject, you can copy and paste to speed things along.
For example, most of these “green tea smoothie” photos I took last week have the same keywords. So all I do is select multiple images and then paste the keywords in once and – VOILA! They’re all keyworded at once.
Then you can add titles and descriptions to your images under the “Metadata” section.
Why do this in Lightroom?
Because the keywords, titles, and descriptions that you add to your images go with them when you upload them to your agencies. So you can upload one photo to five different agencies… and you’ll only have to keyword it once.
This can literally save you HOURS of time.
I made a short video to show you how this works. Breakfast Stock Club Premium members can pick it up under the “Bonus” tab of your member page at MyTravelPrograms.com.
