National Geographic MONTHLY Photo Contest
Yes, National Geographic is a biggie. No argument about that.
They are currently running monthly photo contests where anyone with a spectacular digital shot might get it published in both the magazine and on-line. You can find out general info at www.ngm.com/yourshot
In a nutshell, the way it works is National Geographic selects from the first 5000 photo entries each month. The April theme is My Vacation and May is Pets. You can only submit one jpeg photo for each contest and the submission period begins on the 15th of each month.
