The best way to keep making money from your stock photos…… is to keep uploading.Hooray! — Last week I made $21.08 from my photo sales on iStock and Shutterstock… which means that I hit our $20 per week goal. And I expect to collect my first $75 check from Shutterstock at the end of the month, too!If I can do this, so can you. Especially because:
- The boost in sales directly followed a big upload that I did over the holidays. I was barely uploading anything before then. So I really think that if we continue to upload consistently, we’ll make a whole lot more. If uploading 20 images per week is too much, start with a smaller goal. Maybe five images. Or three. Anything is better than nothing.
- Many of the photos I uploaded are images I had on my hard drive for at least six months that I decided to edit for stock and finally get up online. I imagine you have a lot of photos on your hard drive, too.
- Remember, $20 per week was Lise Gagne’s first goal, and now she’s the number one seller on iStock. She didn’t have any formal training when she started out. And we don’t need any, either.
The more we keep at it and practice, the more we upload, the more we’ll make.Your Weekly Breakfast Dish The latest from your Breakfast StockClub Facebook PageMore From Phill Danze, who’s off to a great start: Sold this picture I snapped during the course with Rich in Sydney… even the quickest of snaps can become stock; it’s sold a few now.And we’ve heard a lot of interest stirring from iStock’s recent announcement that they’ll be accepting editorial images, soon. From Kim Wilson: I’m very excited about this.
