Making an income doing something you love is one of the best things you can do in life. And it’s never too late to start.
Bonnie, on our Great Escape team, does it in her spare time. She takes pictures on nights and weekends and she uses them for spare income.
It’s not always easy. She takes a lot of client photos — mostly headshots and families — and photographing preschoolers, as I’m sure you can imagine, does have its challenges. But it’s always rewarding.
Just last month I roped Bonnie into photographing 20+ families for a fundraiser at my son’s preschool. She’d take the pictures… I’d jump up and down behind her to make the kids laugh.
It was a big undertaking… but the results were fabulous. Take a look…
This shoot will bring in a nice income for Bonnie. But that’s not really why she likes photography.
Taking great pictures is a gift. Both for the clients and for the photographer.
The kids, in these examples, will never be this age again. These expressions and the love you see in the family shots are something these parents can hold onto now and forever. And to be able to give that feels good.
Bonnie does this, along with stock photography and headshots, to the tune of about $10,000 a year.
Whether you want to take pictures of people… travel… food… or wildlife, there’s opportunity to make a healthy side income from it in your spare time. And, the fun is always guaranteed.
