Jessica introduced herself to Joe at our Ultimate Photography Workshop in Palm Springs, California last year. Joe has since taken her under his wing to coach her toward her dream of being a humanitarian photographer.
Jessica has always been a traveler and loved taking photos of the people and places she visits. During a career change crisis several years ago, Jessica reevaluated her path and realized that her heart was with photography.
“I began searching for photography courses online and that’s how I discovered Great Escape Publishing.”
Jessica attended the photography workshop in Palm Springs to learn how to turn photography into an income. What she found was even more valuable.
Having always had a passion for doing work that makes an impact, when Jessica met Joe and learned more about his work, she knew that was what she was destined to do. She realized she could focus on women’s issues around the world.
“Cultural barriers around the world often make it impossible for a male photographer to meet with women and children. As a woman, I can meet women and children and highlight those aspects of a culture.”
Jessica shares her story of discovery and what she has been able to do since the workshop to further her dream. She also provides advice to others who have the secret desire to follow their dreams.
