Mega Millions just hit the biggest jackpot in history—at 1.6 BILLION dollars.
But I’ve got something better for you this week. After all… they say people who win the lottery end up miserable. Hounded by businesses, charities, and scammers all looking for a payout, they start to have trouble in their relationships… many even file for bankruptcy!
But what if, instead of buying a lottery ticket, you could make that dream of quitting your day job… experiencing luxury travels around the world… and spending time doing things you love, come true… without all the trouble?
This week, we’re talking about blogging, and it couldn’t be more timely. Because, if you don’t win that 1.5 billion jackpot, you can still create an amazing life simply by starting a blog.
It sounds far-fetched, I know. And, yes, there are a lot of blogs out there that never earn a penny. But there’s a big difference between a fun hobby blog… and a fun money-earning blog.
No matter where you are in life—from feeling stuck to being on top of the world—starting a blog is an awesome opportunity to build on what you’ve got and create exactly the life you want.
Here’s why:
1. Blogs are fun. Rather than sticking to assignments, you can write about anything you want… be whoever you are… and share it all with the world.
2. Blogs make it possible for editors and travel professionals to find you. Blogging is probably the best way to get found and get assignments to come to you without asking. They’re a way to share the things you’re most excited about with the rest of the world. Which chocolates are the best? I don’t know, try them all and blog about it. Does online dating really work? I don’t know, try a few sites and blog about it. Can I really hike Kilimanjaro when I have a fear of heights? I don’t know, but I’d love to read about it on your blog!
3. And finally, blogs can be incredibly lucrative… if you set them up right.
While you might not immediately think of a blog as an income-earner, I know people who make six figures blogging about what they love.
There is huge potential to earn income up and around the $100K mark if you do it full-time and a whole lot of potential for a more modest second income if you just do it on the side.
You really can’t go wrong.
Stay tuned this week for tips from our readers who are making blogging work for them.
